University of South Carolina / Housing Module

Colleges offer certain housing options to certain students — freshman only vs graduate level and the like. Our students need to know that so our system needed to know that, while selling the campus and clarify top questions. Crafted uniform dorm and apartment descriptions and amenities (because international students want to know whether they have to bring sheets or buy a coffee maker).

mbs ux + redesign

mbs, textbooks.com’s parent company, builds and manages brick + mortars and online bookstores for colleges and K12, including snhu. we redesigned the online bookstore – which was templatized for efficiencies, while being customizable by school depending on offers, messaging, and more. the ux and messaging strategy was provide a guided, easy path and to integrate each school’s course catalog (to minimize ordering mistakes and returns) and simplify the cart flow. direct partnerships with each school allowed to sync the course catalog and required / recommended books for each semester — amazon can’t do that.
